08 The 13th Moon

Tides are turning, the river’s rolling on,
And the thirteenth moon is riding high beneath a liquid sky.
Leaves are crumbling, the final fall’s begun.
Under crystal waves and mirror lakes,
In dreams of endless summerdays,
The last season is run, season is run.

The human race is buried by a new humanity
Out on the silent islands where they ever may be free.
The ruins of an elder age are monuments to me
Of a struggle against death and love for timeless liberty.

And the City of Glass has been finished at last
To be ruled by the Autumnmenkind.
While the thirteenth moon shines on roads already passed
Where another PROGRESS we may find.

So I follow on my own way
and still wait for the last perfect day

But we, the Children of the Sea, are drifting through eternity

07 Lichter einer großen Stadt

Children of a darker night, though of sorrow tell you might
Keep your tears and I’ll keep mine, nothing changes from a whine.
For you this world is much too bright,
An aweful high and mighty sight.
And you don’t dare to take the fight,
The darkness is preparing your decline.

06 Cloudscape

Ground control, I’m taking off. Learning hard to catch the wind.
Faster, higher, now I’m gaining. Cut through air with outspread wings.
See their warbirds, now descending. Closing in, fire at will.
I’m a living lightning bolt, an Angel with an urge to kill.

Sonnen Wende Eises Luft Zeit verrinnt im Sande
Niemand sei der Herrscher dieser Wolkenlande… Wolkenlande!

So will ich über Wolkenlande fliegen,
Will seh’n, kann ich den Wolkenbrand besiegen.
So lasst mich über Wolkenlande schweben,
Wer wird von uns den Wolkenrand überleben?

Shattered dreams, shattered minds. Twisted strange reality.
Life parades along the edge. Only dismal sights I see.
Mankinds race is almost run and their tyrants wait for me.
Let your unborn children sleep. Sleep on until eternity.

Wolken Bruch Die Zeit ist mein. Was nennt Ihr ein Leben?
Niemals, niemals sollt Ihr über Wolkenlande schweben…
Wolkenlande schweben!

And we may lose or we may win, anyway, let the dance begin…

Ja und komm heute Nacht, bei der Luft kalter Glut
Und wir rennen, wir fliegen, umarmen die Flut.

05 Nautilus

Write the book of life anew, find a home among the blue
Set out for a distant shore beyond the skies that we adore.
The silent storm be our guide throughout the ocean of the night
All hands on board and side by side we will return to set things right.

Yonder rises the Nautilus, shining brightly out of the clouds.
Through the rain I can see her pass, taking me to the shores of glass.

The last bridge left leads through the shards
Of splintered mirrors in the soul
From burning clouds through broken lands towards the sunken streets we go.
To find another kind of man, to lead another life again,
To wait for silver voices in the rain.

Sleep, sleep into another day, where we drive the flood away.
Rise at the dawning of the tide where to morrows shores we ride.

Now that the race is run we turn our eyes beyond the sun
And lift our dreams and forces high above the winds where ravens fly.

04 Steel Sky

Metal scrapes on metal. It’s happening again!
I look to the horizon and run like I never ran.
98 .5 – humanoid life -
Checking systems. ready – no chance to survive.

White scars in a blue sky, faint lines in the sand.
A thunder in the distance, a shadow on the land.
Soon they will be here, get ready for the strife.
And these plains will be cleared of all humanoid life.

The killing moon is rising, the sky has turned to steel.
The echoes of the warbirds, I’m on a killing field.
I’ve nothing left to lose but still I’m standing tall.
And I’ll keep my head high and fight until I fall.

Their planes cover the sky, a cold wind bites at me.
Most of them fly by, one lands in front of me.
It opens up, my aim is fine. I pull the trigger, clear the line.
I climb the plane, I grab the frame, as I take off, I’m one of them.
98.5 – humanoid life -
Checking systems. ready – no chance to survive.

And as I race the skies and fly into the sun
I think of all the dead; the ending has begun.
And so I’m on the hunt, they do not even flee,
‘Cause this is my just crusade – for humanity
98.5 – humanoid life -
Checking systems. ready – no chance to survive.

03 The Race Goes On

Wiping the blood from my windshield away,
Another sad way to start a new day
Racing the streets as to nowhere I ride,
Bleak and dead houses, no cover to hide.

Outside the dust blurs my vision to red,
It also keeps air from being covered with lead.
Nothing to lose is enough for to kill,
Nothing to gain is another thing still.

But even if the city’s gone
And nuclear scars can’t be undone,
I testify this to every one:
Life finds a way, the race goes on.

Dark human bodies, half-buried in sand,
Withering landmarks on a wasted land.
Take all these horrible pictures from me,
Show me a peace I no longer can see

Cover my eyes with a funeral cloth,
Cover my ears and my innocence both.
Find me a soul to lend me a hand,
Show me a silence I can understand.

Fighting each day for the next one to come,
Death is a friend and a saviour for some.
Another one finds his god under my car.
Tomorrow weíll see who is left for this war.

02 Turn the Sun

A cold war reminder sleeps out on the ice.
Uranium dreams and Caesium lies
And a hydogen future of days long gone by
Still waits for the silver halo crescent in the sky.

Turn the sun, turn the sun, turn the sun
When our scientific battle shall be won
And for another age of atomaric thunder in the skies
We crack the earth and turn the sun.

Out in the orbit through darkness and void
A cold cosmic shower falls.
It rains on the surface, electrifies air.
Reactors are melting, the red siren calls and
fusion and fission is here. The end is near!

Turn the sun, turn the sun, turn the sun
While now the end of all our struggle has begun.
And as the ices break and oceans rise we’ll finally be gone
For now the earth will turn to sun.

Waters are rising, another great flood.
Oh see how we sink, now Neptune is God.
The coastlines are fading, the rains have returned
By thunder and lightning the heavens have turned.
We fear for our lives and for those of our kind
And leave all our hopes and our fortunes behind.

The Oceans rise, the towers fall. The cities crumble, Sirens call.
A wall of Glass sweeps over land, unbroken by a human hand.
And all our prayers, foul or blessed will never stop the walls progress.

Turn the sun, turn the sun, turn the sun
As now the well-known landscape of our earth is gone.
And after billions drowned and wars arise the human race is run
We leave the earth, turn to the sun.

01 Was vom Tage übrig blieb

Children of the little mind, never wonder what you’ll find
Dance in circles, dance in line underneath the neon fine
For you this world is much too deep, you cannot dream though you may sleep
And when the stormy visions creep, the lying light will wash them off your mind.

The lonely crowd is waiting, waiting for another life to appear
They search their thoughts for happiness to feast upon before they disappear
Their eyes so burn with fever as to consume the soul within
Alas! But never, never do they appear to realize their spirits worn too thin

I stood alone among the crowd, they were so strange they were so loud
I tried to hold my head up proud
But they were many, I am one. Too tired to swim and better gone
So fool they laugh and fool they shout

How wide is the world, how deep is the sea?
How far the horizon, where will I find me?

And now that I have come this far, I seek my star. It’s burning out.
So night has come to shed her tears, drowning my fears inside the crowd.
Nothing’s there that shines for me as I can see only the sea and a pale moon
Lurking over me.

Me, I’m not lonely, not a bit, my company is just enough
And here alone with me I sit, scratching my thoughts with words too rough
But all the happy people inside the happy crowd
Surrounding me in wonder and drink and laugh and shout
They’ll never know how poor they are, the crowd it feeds its children good
They think that they have come so far, without the crowd they never would

So here’s a cage with bars of flesh, once caught it never lets you go
It slowly burns your soul to ash. How to escape you’ll never know
It’s you who holds the key. It’s you that cannot see.
It’s you who’s laughing… about me.
