While in the air, cald and frothenious
The damp and distant star-pins soar
The breath it bears no weight continuous
Yet all the while still finds some more.

And nothing in the earth, and nothing
Fills this empty tired eye
As black on black on dark descending
Sleep and hopes and dreams walk by.

And while we anecdotally align
And interchangeably entwine
While into density we sign
We find the failing seal

So now this intercourse will become right
With certain series in full bright
We travel unendingly wide
The great divide, A single sight.

We sprawl through half-deserted streets
The silent moonlight showering
The quiet night air lowering
We crawl where hollow nightshades lead

We chase an empty mile around
And while I am the heathen king
For you, you are my evening
And call to me without a sound

Until we radiate in light
Invisible, and out of sight
You whisper to me, blossoms bright
I smile at you; you are my night.

As I was cast upon the sands
Away, out on this dreary shore
It was but for your healing hands
That I could walk the dream once more

& all that I have been before
Was foamy surf upon the sea
& what the future held in store
Was ever more seen blearily

Across the endless leagues though we
