03 Fallen Angel

Heaven could not hold you, you walked beneath the sun
Standing in the lights, now these times are gone
You’re hiding in the shadows, you’re living in the dark
And when you hear the song of the lark.

Fallen angel, afraid to fly,
Fallen angel, look at the sky!
The skies are clouded, but can you hear?
They say the dawn is drawing near.

They ask what was your sin, they don’t know how it hurts.
You claim for no misdeed, they don’t believe your words.
And now you’re led astray, you’re branded with the mark,
So listen to the song of the lark.

Fallen angel, afraid to fly,
Fallen angel, look at the sky!
The skies are darkened, cover your fear
And you’re assured, night is here.

You failed, that’s your mistake. You nearly got it made.
The sun shone on your face, you vanished into shade.
Your story’s just like mine, so long a time ago.
And I sing for you the song of the owl.

Fallen angel, afraid to fly,
Fallen angel, look at the sky!
You choose to go, the night went by.
You did not know, that way you die.

Fallen angel, afraid to fly,
Fallen angel, look at the sky!
The morning’s dusk ended the night,
For me there’s just eternal twilight.

02 Can’t Rain All Time

Leave alone the lonely, leave alone the the pain.
Leave alone the sorrow, everything’s in vain.
The truth’s standing before me, bare to the bone.
I can’t stand to look at it, just leave me alone!

I’m undertow, I’m down and out, I cry, I scream, I whisper, I shout.
All those words I want to say of all the things I’m feeling today.
And all the faces that I see and all those eyes that stare at me.
And all these people talk to me, they are not what they are to be.

And the sky is crying, heaven’s open.
I’m laying, I’m broken.
And the rain that falls, falls on my tears
Is the only witness to my fears.

A sadnessstream, the emptiness,
A sorrowocean, words cannot express.
Outside it’s damp, a cold grey morn,
An Azrael has just been born.
A questionlake, clouds on my mind,
Is this the life of another kind.
I need control, it slips away,
The dawn is here, another day.

And the rain is falling, soaking the ground.
I’m looking for answers that cannot be found.
What to begin? I don’t have a clue.
Where from, where to, what shall I do?

What is right, what is wrong,
Who is weak and who is strong,
What is good, what is bad,
Who is sane and who is mad?
What is love, what is hate,
Who is early, who is late,
What is black, what is white,
Which is dark and which is light?
What is truth, what is lie,
How to laugh and how to cry,
How to run, how to rest,
What’s the worst and what’s the best?
What is yours, what is mine,
What is space, what is time,
Which is sorrow, which is pain,
Which is snow and which is rain?
What is new, what is old,
What is hot, what is cold,
How to swim, how to drown,
Why to worry, why to frown?
What to do, what to say,
Which is stone and which is clay,
Tell me true, tell me why,
Why to live and why to die?

Look up, look up, take a look at the sky.
And see, can you see, clouds are going to die.
A crack in heaven, a ray of light,
Ends the darkness of the deepest night.
This is the truth, all what is mine:
It can’t rain all time.

01 Gebrochen Flüstert Dunkelheit

Gefror’nes Rätsel hinter Reim, Verlesung ungeschrieb’ner Worte.
